“We screwed it up, we made boneheaded plays” — shutup.
“The refs want Kobe in the finals” — shutup.
“We SHOULD have won the game” — shut the hell up.
You’re not George Karl, Nuggets fans, so don’t take your lead from him. We have nothing to be ashamed of. We played hard, we played close, and you know what? We came up short on the road in one of the toughest places to play in the history of the NBA, against a team that has the best player in the NBA. Lebron is great, and will surpass Kobe, but right now Kobe is the best player in the NBA. I hate him, and I mean I HATE him — but he’s the best scorer in the league.
I don’t want to hear woulda coulda, yada yada — we are a great team, we are in the WESTERN FREAKING CONFERENCE FINALS – after 5 years of round one exits, what are we complaining about? We’re complaining our team almost beating the Lakers on their home court?
Of course the media doesn’t report on it — because they’re assholes — but if you saw Melo’s reaction to last night’s game, you know that he has matured greatly. After all the complaing about the refs from Karl, he just said that they played hard, he was proud of his team for playing that hard, and he was done with that game. It was over he said, there’s no the refs called this or that, they didn’t win, they had to move on and take care of game 6. Thank you Melo.
And that’s it, the game’s over, it’s over, and we should be damn proud of this team. And when this season is over, whenever that is — we should damn proud of this team. And on Friday night, we should take Melo’s lead – it doesn’t matter, it doesn’t matter what happened last night, this team has played their hearts out for us, and we should let them hear Friday night.
We have a legitimate shot at being a great team for the next 2-3 years, and all we can think about is how the refs made a shitty call? Newsflash – the refs always make shitty calls!! The refs weren’t the ones who went six minutes without scoring, who played tenacious defense on the Nuggets in the 4th quarter.
I’m sick of hearing Nuggets fans immediately turn on their team in each loss this series — you’re not a fan, you’re just bored. If you’re fan, then shutup, cheer on your team tomorrow night and let’s see what happens in game 7.
